How to view Apple Watch battery percentage on iPhone?

Yesterday I could see the remaining watch battery charge on my iPhone but today that is gone. Can you help me get this back on my phone, it showed a 4 circle widget with 1 used one for my phone and one for the watch where the circle indicted battery life. But the watch battery disappeared. (Both are paired, updated, & charged now.)
