iPhone 17 crashes and fails to restore after initial setup

After installing all Apps and in first 2hrs of using iphone 17 it crashed and I can not restore regardless of what I did

New iPhone 17 Pro Max Crashing Constantly Immediately after unboxing and turning on the phone, I got to the data transfer from my old phone, started that process and after about 2 mins the iPhone 17 crashes and reboots itself, tried a few more times still crashed after the same amount of time. I then tried to set it up as a new iPhone without transferring anything, was able to complete the setup, went to do a software update, and again it crashes repeatedly when trying to update. Even just turning on the phone after a certain amount of time it will crash and restart. I've force reset it with the volume button up down and power button and still crashes after the same amount of time. Any help, I'd like to hope this isn't a defective phone, but I can't even do a software update so I'm stuck.

Have you done a forced restart, as your title dirt of indicates?
