dust under the camera lens of the iphone 16 pro

Is this considered a defect? If the device was purchased brand new

Generally speaking no, but only Apple Support can determine the validity of a warranty claim. lobsterghost has provided links to contact Apple Support.


On a side note, the dust does not affect image quality (hence why a warranty claim may be rejected). The light entering through the front of the lens is not in focus and therefore cannot resolve the dust and it has no visual impact on the image quality.
