Caps lock hasn't worked since I updated to iOS 26

I updated my phone a while ago to iOS 26, and only realized today that caps lock doesn't work when I double tap on the shift button on any app except discord. I've tried restarting my phone, turning it off and on again, turning it off then restarting and turning it back on again, but nothing works.

I also updated my phone to iOS 26.0.1 today, and it didn't fix it. My dad is on the same iOS as me, and his caps lock works just fine. Meanwhile I have to hold onto the shift button do write anything in all caps. Why is my phone not working like it's supposed to?
