iOS 15.8.5 is likely to be the most stable and optimal version available for your iPhone. If what you are really asking for is an update to iOS 16 or higher, that won't happen. The iPhone 6s will never get iOS 16, 17, 18, or 26. iOS 15 is the end of the line.

If you have installed iOS 15.8.5, you already have the most up to date and stable version of the iOS.

Unfortunately, your iPhone is way too old to run iOS 16, iOS 17, iOS 18 or iOS 26.

How long has it been since you had the battery replaced by the Genius Bar or authorized Apple service shop?

The most current version for an iPhone 6s is iOS 15.8.5 and no higher. What are you currently running on your iPhone? Settings > General > About > Version
