Recently my iPhone 17 pro overheating during charging, playing game and unresponsiveness.

Recently, my iPhone 17 Pro has started getting unusually hot while playing games and charging. Previously, it used to stay much cooler under the same conditions. The heating issue occurs even during moderate gaming sessions or when charging for a short time. This overheating makes the device uncomfortable to hold and seems to affect performance and battery life.Along with the heating, I’ve also noticed some lag while using the phone and occasional unresponsiveness — sometimes the buttons stop working properly.

First, lets define overheating. When an iPhone overheats, it displays a graphic of a thermometer and says it can't be used until it cools. If you didn't see a thermometer, with that message, your iPhone didn't overheat.

It is possible you may have seen a message that charging was paused until the phone cools off. That is NOT overheating, but a new feature on iPhone, which when fast charging, charges the phone to 80%, then pauses. This is a new feature and again, is NOT an indication of overheating.

Now to the conditions you experienced. Charging an iPhone while playing a game makes the battery work harder. And when a battery works harder, it generates heat. This is called thermal exchange and is normal and not something you should be concerned about.

and I am not playing game while charging, most case I don’t use the phone while charging as it effect the battery for long run. My phone charging limit is 80%.

OK. But playing games is one of the most battery intensive activities you can do on an cellphone. So when playing games the battery MUST work harder and when a battery works harder, it generates heat naturally. If you're not seeing a thermometer, your phone isn't overheating.
