Safari problem after Tahoe 26.0.1 update

Ever since I did the update, Tahoe 26.0.1, my MacBook Air 2022 M2 Chip, Safari is not functioning. Web pages won't load, if they load they are incomplete. When I restart, it works for a while and then reverts to the problem. I run an antivirus and that states there is no virus. Anyone have an idea what this is and how to correct it?

Hello everyone,

If you’re experiencing issues with Safari not loading pages after updating to macOS 26.2, try this workaround:

Disconnect all connections from your iMac or laptops, including external monitors, external hard drives, and peripherals. Wait a few seconds, then reconnect everything. I would also recommend to restart the computer after.

This happened to me after updating my iMac M1 to macOS 26.2. Safari would not load any pages and would sometimes stay completely blank. I spent hours with Apple Support going through extensive troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling the software, but nothing helped.

Eventually, I tried disconnecting all external connections and reconnecting them, and WALA Safari started working normal again. Hopefully this saves someone else a lot of time in the near future.

I hope this helps.

No wonder. There are no viruses that affect macOS. There have never been any viruses that affect macOS. There will never be any viruses that affect macOS. Repeat as often as required until it sinks in.

Uninstall whatever that was. Rule 1 of Macs is don't install junk.

My problem is that after installing Tahoe on my laptop, Safari won't let me input a URL when I open a new window, or select and copy URLs in tabs I have open. If I click in the tab address of one I have opened, it gives me a drop down with the full address, but it won't let me select it in either the address bar or the drop down.

If I create a new tab (that isn't home page, Google) it just says untitled and does nothing if I click on it. If I open

I have not added any anti-virus software and I have quit and reopened Safari and restarted my laptop twice.

Attached are screenshots of untitled windows and URL drop down menus, and the Settings I have selected.

This is really disappointing. Since installing Tahoe 26, I have been denied access to a variety of websites. I have Malwarebytes for security purpose of my business. Never had any problems until newest update Tahoe 26.

I need this fixed. I have see all the other supporting docs. and tried turning off my VPN, still happening even after restarting. Please let me know.

Tahoe has been a complete disaster for me : Safari - has become so buggy (button clicks, failing, forms not saving, slow, weirdness all over the place. Apple Mail also almost as bad - search can't find recent emails. Email views incomplete.

Is Apple Intelligence to blame? So far Tahoe is a joke and doesn't appear to be an easy way to go back to the previous OS.

C'mon Apple - this feels like Microsoft in the Naughties.

After installing Tahoe, it ran into a lot of problems like most webpage won't load, power point stuck, all the programs seems to slow down in operation. Programs like Logic Pro, Final Cut and I am sure there will be more. I work with these programs and the new update really hurt my work flow. And also for iPhone recent update (glass looking layout) too. So much problem. I hope apple fix all immediately.
