Texts to myself are now green and not blue on my iPhone running iOS 18.6.2

I text myself frequently, reminders, things to pick up at the store, etc. Over the last few days, they are now green not the usual blue. My phone is updated and I haven’t changed anything in the settings.

I’ve tried two suggestions:

Turn IMessage off then on, Restart, nothing changed.
Removed my number from iMessage, restart, added my number back, no change.

Any Suggestions? I’ve looked over the discussions and have seen other people post about the issue.

i have a iPhone 16, pro max, 18.6.2 version.

Thanks for the reply. I did the update to 18.7.1, but I found how to resolve this another way. Instead of just texting, from the existing thread, I started a new text by doing a search for my name, and clicking on my phone number, like when searching for any name in my contacts to start a new text, This seems to have fixed the issue. I have no idea why this happened, as I have been texting myself many times daily, for years with no issues before. Thanks again for reply!!

Did you try to update your iPhone to iOS 18.7.1?

Did you try to send yourself an iMessage, using your Apple Mail address?
