VO2 max not updating on Apple Watch

My Vo2 max stopped updating several months ago.

All the correct settings are in place.

is there a way to completely reset health from scratch?

i don’t mean recalibrate, I’ve done that.

I’ve also unpaired my Apple Watch and re paired to no avail.

I’ve done plenty of outdoor walks and runs over 20 minutes so it’s not that.

Which Apple Watch are you using?

Did you also try to delete all health data on your iPhone in Settings -> Apps -> Health -> Data -> Data Access & Devices -> Health -> scroll down -> Delete All Data from "Health"?

If this does not work, contact the official Apple Support and ask them to look into your personal data and settings.

I'm having the same issue. I run 4 days a week and my series 7 stopped updating V02Max and advanced metrics like ground contact time, vertical oscillation and stride length at the same time.

I spoke with apple support. The tech looked at diagnostics for the hardware and confirmed no issue there. Since I had already checked all the permissions and restarted everything, he recommended unpairing the watch and setting it up new. I ran this morning and the advanced metrics are still not showing. V02max would take some time to update but the other stats SHOULD be available in real time while running. So something is broken. Tech thought it might be a software issue - nothing to do but wait it out. I'm just bummed because it's racing season and I used those stats to dial in my running form.
