My Apple Watch Series 11 always on function does not work correctly

When Always On is switched to "on" when I look at it, the screen does not brighten. It only brightens if I touch it. And when the Always On is switched to off, when I look at the screen it remains black. I have to push the crown to get it to show the face.

This also is happening with the Exercise app. When the Exercise app is on, it automatically used to make the screen black until you looked at it. But now the screen is black unless you press the crown button.

Did you also check the settings for "Wake On Wrist Raise" in Settings/Display & Brightness?

Does this work when the Always On Display is disabled?

Did you try to force restart by pressing and holding the Digital Crown and the Side button together for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?
