Closing files in Preview on iPad

So, I open a file in Files. Being a text file it is displayed in Preview. When done there is no way to close the file. Closing Preview still leaves the file open. Open another file and then there are two copies of Preview (one for each file).

This is not how applications that open files should work. There needs to be a close file capability in Preview to close the file.

Press and hold on the Preview Icon on the Dock, and then on "Show all Windows" on the menu that appears.

This will show a grid of windows open by the app. You can then swipe up and off the screen a file to close it.

Alternatively, if you have the "Windowed Apps" or "Stage Manager" option active in Settings ➜ Multitasking and Gestures, you can swipe down from the very top of the screen with Preview opened, tap on the File menu, and then on Close Window to close the current file.
