how do I get out of Preview in ios26 after opening image in Files

I don't see anyone else asking this so I presume I'm an idiot but: how do I get out of the Preview pane that pops up when you open an image in Files under ios 26.1? See attached screenshot for the screen that is baffling me. I have tried tapping everywhere on the screen, tried tapping each icon, I have found nothing that works aside from force-quitting Files, waiting a minute, and re-opening. This is the least intuitive new ios Apple has ever come up with, from my perspective, but this is the one I can't figure out at all.

In the very top of the left side of the screen is a <-- Files button. Tap it.

Katherine is so right. There IS no files button on the left top of the screen. The PREVIEW pane takes over the entire screen. I've had to do what Katherine does-- log out of it, wait, and log back in. SOOOO annoying. I would love to get rid of this screen, as my only options are New Documents or Scan Documents. Nowhere can I look at EXISTING documents. Occasionally the one I just scanned pops up on bottom left, but I do not have the option to delete it. This was one of the those things-- if it ain't broke-- don't fix it!!
