System data taking half of storage.

So system data is literally taking HALF (35 gb out of 64gb) and i have no idea how to make it smaller. I can’t backup, icloud is bs and i can’t delete stuff. The only way that would work is making system data smaller. SEND HELP

Why can't you backup? iCloud isn't bs, by the way. Either way, you can't selectively go into System Data and remove things. Over time System Data builds up and occasionally accumulates some corrupt data as may be the case on your iPhone. The simplest way to reduce it back to normal levels is to backup your iPhone, then restore the iPhone from backup. If you don't or can't use iCloud, then use your computer with Finder (Mac) or Apple Devices (Windows) and backup your phone there, then restore the phone from the backup.

lobsterghost1 gave you the only way to remove it. It should be about 5GB.

To prevent it happening, don’t use beta iOS software and don’t play too many heavy duty games or social media, because they are the main reasons for bogus system data being dumped there.
