Screens on iOS 26 non responsive iPad and IPhone 17 Pro.

Since updating to iOS 26 on my iPad Air and on my iPhone 17 Pro, frequently I am finding the screen to be non responsive. I am touching repeatedly, clicking repeatedly on many different applications and websites and nothing happens. Often I have to either refresh or close out and start all over. It’s annoying and wastes time. Anyone have a fix, other than the ole reset. Actually, it’s happening right now. I have written this entire post and the screen is not recognizing that there is any text. Crazy. I just had to copy the entire question, refresh the page and paste the original question before it recognized there was anything written. Apple, what’s up with that?

You aren't writing anyone from Apple here. This is a user to user only forum, which Apple doesn't participate, nor read for user feedback. I have an iPad Pro 11, iPad Air 5, iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, none of which are having any touch issues with iOS 26. It's kind of odd that you are on an iPad and iPhone Pro, to be honest.

See this link about touch issues --> If Touch ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Have you Force Restart either device? Give this a try --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support (same procedure on iPad.

If nothing in the link helps, I'd schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar and show Apple what you're experiencing --> Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple
