iPhone 17 touchscreen issues

Does anyone have problems with the touch screen near the edge of the screen? When I touch the side of my thumb, it does not register the touch and when I want to turn on the application at the edges, you can see that they are clicked but do not turn on. Also, when I try to press the backspace button, it doesn't delete the words, but I have to click individually, removing the letters. iPhone 17 iOS 26.3.1

I've probably tried everything, restarting the phone to factory settings, removing the protective film and the case, updating to the latest version of iOS and nothing helps.

Hello once more~ In that case…you need to have it checked out by Apple…

I’ve noticed on my brand new iPhone 17 Pro Max the quality of the screen is poor. Towards the top on the edges it doesn’t fully sit flush and leaves a fingernail size gap easily seen from an angle on both sides, the right side is even more obvious. For $1200, this shouldn’t be the case. The touch screen is also very inaccurate and lags tremendously when typing. The phone also gets hot under just minor use with one or two apps open. I’m returning this iPhone and will hold off on buying a new iPhone until apple changes the screen style and other features to a design that is more practical.
