I’ve tried everything to get it out of lost mode but it either needs 1- an iCloud account (I have removed it from iCloud long ago) or 2- something to do with the home button. If anyone knows how to fix this please help.

If the phone is in Lost Mode ("Locked to Owner"), that would imply that it is still associated with an Apple Account. You will need to know the credentials for that account to take it out of Lost Mode – whether you clear Lost Mode on the device, or on the Web.
As for the Home button, if it is not working, that sounds like a hardware problem that might require repair by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider. The question would then be whether the cost of repair was worth it, and whether they would even accept a phone for repair if it was still in Lost Mode. (My guess is that they will want you to take the phone out of Lost Mode and temporarily turn off Find My.)
