iPhone 14 Pro Max — Both Cameras, Flashlight, and Face ID Not Working After iOS 26.1 Update

Hi everyone,

I’m having a serious issue with my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Both my front and rear cameras have completely stopped working, and while the flashlight icon appears active, it doesn’t actually turn on when tapped. Because of this, my Face ID also isn’t working.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Restarted the iPhone

Updated to the latest iOS 26.1

Reset all settings

Checked for any physical or water damage (none found)

Additional details:

The phone was bought brand new directly from an Apple Store

It has no third-party parts or repairs

It hasn’t been dropped or damaged

Despite all this, the issue persists. Has anyone else experienced this after and before updating or found a reliable fix?

This has been reported onec or twice in the last few weeks and nothing worked. You’re welcome to try a forced restart.

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

If forced restart fails you’ll need to have Apple perform diagnostics on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.
