All passwords compromised on iPhone

All 270 passwords have been compromised and friend have the same on their iPhone.

is this a glitch?

I mean, it could be a glitch.

I personally wouldn't assume that it is, because, it would be a truly awkward glitch.

Whatever is the case, I would advise you to change all your passwords of the mentioned services you have stored in your iCloud Keychain, because, as unlikely as it may seem, there certainly is a possibility that your passwords have been leaked publicly. This will not necessarily lead to your accounts being compromised, but it just as well might.

As you may be aware, this service works through Apple getting lists of breaches and leaks, sending them to your device, which will then check securely if the passwords match.

long story short, please consider changing your keywords, and remind your friend of doing so.

If you’re in the habit of reusing a few passwords then it’s a distinct possibility. Please contact Apple Support and they can assist with verify if it’s a bug of sorts.
