Trade-in process for iPhone 17 Pro Max reservation in the UK
Hi everyone!
I have a question about the Apple Trade-In program in the UK, or if this will work everywhere.
I want to buy an iPhone 17 Pro Max in the new orange color, but that color isn’t currently available in stock.
The Apple Specialist told me that, once the model becomes available, I can place the order online with trade-in and then complete the trade-in in-store when I go to pick up the phone.
However, the website says I need to provide an address to receive the trade-in mail-in kit, and I actually live in Ireland, not the UK.
So I’m wondering:
➡️ Can I buy the phone online at full price (to secure the reservation) and then complete the trade-in at the store when I pick it up?
➡️ If so, is the trade-in value refunded to the same payment card, or provided as store credit/gift card?
➡️ And if my online order is already set as a “mail-in trade-in,” can I just bring my old iPhone to the store instead of mailing it?
If anyone from Apple or someone who has gone through this process before can confirm, I’d really appreciate it! 🙏
