Delete Whatsapp backup from iCloud

I am trying to delete my WhatsApp backup from iCloud with my iPhone?

This option is out of the table as I do not have the "delete data" or this path in iOS 26.0.1:

Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage > WhatsApp Messenger and tap Delete Data

iPhone 16, iOS 26

By total happenstance I was trying to find this today and stumbled on where it's moved to.

Steps to delete the WhatsApp iCloud backup on iOS26.1

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on your name at the top to go to your Apple ID settings
  3. Select iCloud
  4. Select Storage (top of the page)
  5. Scroll to Others
  6. Select WhatsApp (this list is in descending size order so it should be fairly near the top)
  7. Select Delete Data from iCloud
  8. Confirm
