Got scratch on my silver 17 pro max

So, I’m not sure how it happened, but I woke up yesterday to find that my newly unboxed iPhone had a scratch. It’s not through the scratch gate, but right in the middle of the camera bump. I tried cleaning it with microfiber cloths, but it seems like the scratch is permanent.

I hate the scratch because it’s in the middle of the phone’s camera bump.

Mine disappears into a case at purchase, comes out at intervals to remove any grit that gets under the case, and the case comes off at retirement.

I’m using an Otterbox case, which isn’t particularly trim, but is robust enough to withstand the rigors. The Otterbox case replaced an Apple case that was nearly worn through.

I’ve previously used Blackbrook cases for iPad and iPhone, and they’ve been both protective, and looked nice.

As for the scratch on your iPhone, a skin that covers that area might work to mask the scratch. I just checked a well-known skin vendor dbrand, and they do (unsurprisingly) offer skins that cover the camera mound. I’ve not used skins.
