Unwanted devices showing under “AppleCare & Warranty” — can’t remove them

Hello everyone,

I have some devices that don’t belong to me (for example, my friends’ AirPods) showing up under the “AppleCare & Warranty” section on my iPhone.

I’ve already tried:

  • Forgetting the devices from Bluetooth settings

  • Removing them from my Apple ID and iCloud (Find My)

  • Signing out and back into my Apple ID

  • Restarting the iPhone

However, the devices are still visible only in the AppleCare & Warranty list, even though they’re not connected to my Apple ID or Bluetooth anymore.

It seems to be stuck on Apple’s coverage database (AppleCare device registry).

Is there any way to permanently remove them, or do I need to contact Apple Support directly to unlink these devices from my account?

Thank you in advance for your help! 🙏

They must still somehow be linked to your account. When I purchased my computer last spring, Apple did not take my name or any information about me or my account. It now appears under my device information as having a valid warranty. The only way it could know association with me is when I later signed into the computer with my account. I suspect if I were to reset the computer and sell it then the next owner would see that warranty status.

I know that doesn't directly solve your issue but it suggests those devices are still recognized as being associated with your account somehow.
