Nonexistent old Apple ID log in required

I changed my Apple ID about a year ago on my iPhone. Ever since then my iPad wants me to sign in to my old Apple ID before I can do anything else. I can’t sign in because it says it no longer exists. I can’t request that the activation lock be turned off because It asks where you purchased it and an address. I purchased it on Amazon and it won’t let me just put Amazon in. It needs an address.

iPad (9th generation)

For help with an invalid/not-active/not-supported account you need to contact Apple (the people on this board are users like yourself).

To reach Apple Support for an account issue:

1. Click here --> https://getsupport.apple.com/?caller=cups&PGF=PGF63005

2. Select: Disabled Apple ID

3. Select: ”The Apple ID is not active" alert

4. Select: “Continue”

5. Select a chat or telephone call option.

or:

Did you in fact change your Apple Account (formerly called Apple ID) as described here?

If not, you didn’t really change it.

If you did not change your Apple Account, did you delete the old one?

If not, it likely does exist.

On my iPhone or MAC, the Apple ID is the new one and to login to Apple or buy anything from the App Store on my phone or Mac, I use my NEW Apple ID (email address). EVERYTHING I EVER BOUGHT FROM THE APP STORE, since 2008 is shown under my new ID.

On my iPad whenever I use it for anything, a box shows up that says, “Apple ID Verification. Enter your Apple ID password in settings.” In Settings it has my old Apple ID (email). I still have access to that email account but no password I’ve tried to use works. If I click “forgot password” and put in that Old Apple ID (email address), the box comes up that says, “Cannot Reset Password. This Apple ID is not valid or not supported.”
