Tax added to in app purchases?

What region are you in?

For me, tax has always been added to in-app purchases as required by law and varies between regions. Did you recently change regions or do you know if there were changes to the tax laws in your region? In the US, that also includes changes in your address where the tax rate varies for each state and local government tax rates. There are some localities that have a 0% Sales Tax rate. If you were in a region that was supposed to be taxed previously and did not see that on your in-app purchases, consider yourself very lucky.

My US state, my county, and my city all charge tax on purchases. Those rates can change as determined by the authorities, and what you are charged also depends upon where exactly you live here.
