Deleting Amazon Returns from Apple Iphone Wallet

I FIGURED IT OUT! You have to open the actual Wallet app rather than the shortcut double tap side button. See attached. I don’t know if that’s a bug, but seems the three dots icon should be there regardless of how you access the items.

Click the three dots icon and choose Remove Pass 😊

Do a search on your home screen for Wallet. This view of Wallet has different features than the shortcut and the Wallet in Settings. Select the Amazon return and click the 3 dots in the upper right corner. You’ll have the option to delete the return.

Where are you looking, Apple Wallet app or Apple Pay (double clicking side button)? You won’t see the correct menus if you are double clicking the side button. You must locate your Wallet app and tap the 3 dots in the upper right corner.

Duh. I just realized that after I replied. I am updated now and nothing different. I have auto update on but I guess it doesn’t update very soon. Ok. I can only open “wallet app” through settings. I was going to delete the app and reinstall it, but there is no way to delete it. So I go to App Store and see the app is there ( https://apps.apple.com/us/app/apple-wallet/id1160481993 ) and it says “open” not get or update. So I hit open and I’ll be ****. It was different than opening it through settings. The dots were there and I successfully deleted Amazon thing. Ok. So how do I install the app like that. Super weird.

A recent user shared the same issue. They deleted the Wallet app and reinstalled it from the App Store and that restored the three dots menu and ability to remove items from Apple’s Wallet app. Good luck! I hope that works for you, as well.

Double clicking does not bring up the Wallet. Double clicking activates Apple Pay, authenticates your identity and prepares your default payment method.

Apple Wallet is a standalone app. Click the Wallet app, tap the More button (three dots in upper right corner), tape Delete order, find the order you want to remove, swipe left to remove order.

Please follow this path and see if this helps,

iPhone > Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > scroll down > Hide Expired Passes

Thats the only setting that Apple has for hiding items in the Wallet app. If it is off, please toggle it on momentarily and then switch it off again. You can try restarting your iPhone as well.

Please provide a screenshot so I can see what is going on. Please cross out any personal details before uploading your screenshot.

“Remove Pass” is in red text on a black background, so it could be hard to see in certain situations.

Also, make sure you’re on an item that can be removed, like an Amazon return or ticket to an event. You won’t see Remove Pass for a credit card, for instance. Credit cards are managed in Settings - Wallet & Apple Pay. Hope this helps. 😊

No you can’t see the returns in the wallet app !

Without screenshots it’s hard to know what exactly you’re doing. If you click the More Button (three dots) on main page of Wallet you should see Expired if you have any. Also look in Orders. See screenshot below.

I think you’re correct about going in circles. It’s important to understand that double clicking the Side Button (power button) does not open the Wallet app. Double clicking activates Apple Pay and prepares to authenticate the default card using Face ID. It’s not the app that opens.

Wallet app is like any other app and needs to be clicked on to open. Inside the Wallet app is the More Button (three dots). 😄

Update to iOS 26.3 released over a week ago. Once updated check the Wallet app for the More Button (three days in upper right corner of the screen). Clicking the Side Button (power button) does not open the Wallet app. Side Button clicks activate Apple Pay, prepares default payment method and initiates biometric authentication.

Open Wallet app and if More Button is missing, remove all cards. Delete Wallet app. Restart iPhone, and then download and install fresh copy of Apple Wallet app from Apple App Store.

A couple of things to understand. Settings is not the app. Settings changes how the app works, but basic app functions, like More button (3 dots), is not a setting, but rather a function of the app. The Wallet app can be accessed by tapping the app.

If tapping app does not open it, you can delete it. Tap and hold your finger on the app, and a popup will appear. See screenshot below.

Please remove all cards before deleting Wallet app.

Wallet app can also be found in Apple Library if you don’t want to delete app.

It is either in one of your Folders on a Home Screen or in the Apple Library. Go into the App Library by swiping all the way to the left and then swipe down on that screen to view all apps alphabetically. Scroll down to "Wallet" and drag it to any Home Screen you wish.

You can choose to remove any App from a Home Screen and the app is not actually deleted and can be found in the App Library. You can also choose to have the same app seen on several Home Screens. How you organize your Home Screens are up to you. It is possible to delete an app where it is deleted from your Home Screen and your device, but that is not what has been done with the Wallet app on your device and why you saw the Open button when viewed in the App Store.

No need to delete and reinstall the Wallet app, it is working like it should. You just need to place it in a location where you can find it if you want to.
