APPLE BILL with no history in my purchases

How can I get apple to refund me or explain what the charge was for a deduction of $99.99 on my Visa Card. I have tried the refund option on apple support but it only shows purchases I made but not this particular deduction.

Review the information provided in this User Tip:

  • Are you the Organizer of a Family Sharing plan? When using Purchase Sharing members are authorized to make charges to your payment method on their Apple Account. You can still view those purchases when view purchase history, but you have to choose their account or all accounts when using Family Sharing.
  • It is certainly possible your credit card has been compromised. As always, those charges are disputed with the bank of the issued card where they will need to close your account, issue you a new card, and refund your money. It is the bank of the card that approves any charges, Apple does not do that. That is true for any retailer and the credit card company takes responsibility for approving fraudulent charges. Act quickly as the bank can hold you liable for future charges if you do not alert them about fraudulent purchases.

I am not on any family sharing platform. Well the problem is apple does not have a way to confirm that the payment was credited to them. If they did it would be easy to just confirm a payment was made because I have the reference etc.

You can certainly use the provided link to contact Apple directly.

For a fraudulent purchase whether it was credited to Apple or not, the solution is the same and that is to dispute the charge with the bank of the issued card. That would mean someone else knows your credit card information. Apple will provide no information about the Apple Account used for the purchase, but it would be expected that the account would then be locked. You will get your money back from your credit card after disputing the charge. Only you would know if you have allowed anyone else to use your card.

I assume you are seeing the transaction on your credit card statement and not referring to one of the many email/message scams that claims your card has been charged. Those have nothing to do with Apple and they are just looking for you to call a provided number and give them your personal information so your accounts can be compromised.
