iOS 26.1 partially addressed this issue by adding the "swipe to stop" feature, but the buttons are still (a) too big and (b) poorly placed on the screen.
My most common problem use case is:
- My phone is in my pocket (w/ power plug side facing up)
- The alarm goes off with the phone in my pocket
- I reach into my pocket to grab my phone, but because the snooze button is so big and placed towards the button of the screen, I accidently hit it with my thumb almost every time
- This snoozes the alarm before I can even see what it was
- So now I have to open the Clock - Alarm app, scroll through all my alarms, and figure out
I use the Clock - Alarm app for reminders for various things throughout the day. It's an integral part of my by life. It's far superior than the "Reminders" app because it "breaks through" and it's incredibly reliable (at least, it used to be, but not anymore.)
It baffles me how Apple continues to outthink itself. You're supposed to have the smartest UI/UX designers on the planet, yet you've managed to introduce 5x "friction" into an app and feature set that worked great for ~10 years...
