easy walking charges but can’t find it in subscriptions or app

That is because it is not a subscription managed by Apple and you are being billed by the developer directly. In most cases this is because you followed a link to the easyWalking website from a Social Media post, or advertisement, and that is why they are billing you. It makes no difference if you download the app or not, as you are being charged for a website subscription.

The information has been provided many times in this thread for you to contact them, and if unsuccessful then you will need to dispute the charge with the card being billed. Apple is not involved at all.

Apple only has control over subscriptions that were made with the apps in-app purchase. They cannot prevent an app from allowing you to subscribe to a service by you giving them your credit card information directly.

Previously it was the case that an app developer could not manage their own subscriptions, but Apple was sued and forced to pay huge fines to those developers claiming that Apple was monopolizing the payment structure. Apple then attempted to notify users making an outside purchase, and were sued again and lost, with the claim that Apple was taking a retaliatory action causing them harm in sales and are now no longer able to notify users. They also attempted to remove the apps and were forced to reinstate them. It is logical to think that Apple has complete control over the apps in their own store, but that is clearly not the case.

I would never recommend making any outside purchase and would stick with the in-app purchase mechanism in place where it is Apple that manages the subscription so you do not have to deal with the Developer at all.

Another example is the OfferUp app. While Apple makes zero money from any purchase made by a buyer on the App, they also cannot prevent the app from being available in the App Store even though many people have been scammed by sellers. The buyer is left with finding a resolution through OfferUp and anyone that has tried knows they take no responsibility. The app remains in the App Store unless a court determines that it is operating illegally.

Hi, write them support@nutrimate.fit
Same thing happened to me and I already solved it by writing to them; they are refunding me the total amount they charged me.

That is the email address for the NutriMate service which is different than the EasyWalking service. Both do provide web subscriptions that you would have to cancel through them, but this thread is for those who have inadvertently signed up for the EasyWalking subscription. The contact information for them has been provided many times here and if unsuccessful, then it would require disputing the charge with the card being billed.

I need help cancelling this app..they have taken almost 200 from my credit card. I do not use this app at all.

Please review the information that has been provided and if the solution has not already been addressed, then describe what did not work for you. You will find for most that have reported the charge it has nothing to do with the app at all and the charge occurred by following a web link from a social media post/advertisement to the company's website where they were tricked into the subscription.

Update - my bank (in Canada) is going to contest the $21 monthly charges because I was never able to download the app so I didn't receive something that I had paid for. Since they have already changed me an addition $14 in addition to the costs for the subscription, (for nothing), my bank is pursuing this charge via their Fraud department. I have also filed a formal complaint with FB, if they are going to let bandits prey on their customers, that's not looking good for them.

I need to say a huge thank you to this group. If it weren’t for you, I would probably be still getting charged for a service I don’t and have never used and I would probably still have no idea how to contact these people.

It has been a roller coaster ride to say the least and my experience is similar to all of yours - being charged for a service I never used and no way to cancel the subscription.

The email address given here started the ball rolling for me to fight to get my money back. It is quite disgusting just how much they tried to string me along. For example the first email said they did not do refunds. The second email said they would offer 20% of the last payment, the next email said 40%, the next email 80%.

I would not budge a finally they have offered 100% refund for ALL payments made. Do not give up! I told them I would take legal action. I did not budge and insisted with each email that they pay me back all of the money, not just some of it. I had screen shot the payments taken from my account. They also said something about not having my email on file for payment and I immediately felt this was a ploy so very sternly said that that was not my problem and they needed to sort it because I knew full well they would have with all the emailing. They tried all sorts of silly games like that.

it really bothers me that there are so called businesses out there who are doing this to people. Let me know if you need support because I feel for you. They took around $400 usd from my account over the past six months.

Disgusting.

Thank you everyone and thank you for this forum.

I had the same problem with my phone not being compatible with the download and they have refused to give me a refund, contact Dmytro at support@easywalking.io

They won't give you a refund for any charges because your phone is not compatible, but you should be able to cancel the subscription and then there won't be any further charges.

I'm going to make a point of telling everyone about their bad service, for example I cancelled a subscription at Walkfit and they game me an immediate refund because my phone wasn't compatible. Their customer service rep was Nicole and she was very professional.

Good luck with the bandits at easy walking.
