Keyboard shortcut not working.

Hi,

I am noticing some odd behaviour on my 27" iMac that I use at the office. I am using an application called "Size Up," which allows you to re-size open windows with keyboard shortcuts. I use the shortcut, ⌥⌘← to move and resize windows to the left and ⌥⌘→ to move and resize windows to the right. These shortcuts have worked for months on my iMac and two MacBook Pros.

This morning I got to work and discovered that these shortcuts no longer work on my iMac. Now ⌥⌘→ switches between open applications and ⌥⌘← switches between Safari and System Prefs only. If Safari and System Prefs are closed, ⌥⌘← does nothing.

In the Size Up application preferences there is a field to entered the desired keyboard shortcut for each function. I can no longer even enter ⌥⌘← as an option.

This application is a life saver for me. Please help!!!

Hello,

Have you checked the Keyboard pane in System Preferences? You might have some conflicts with an already existing shortcut for any other application.

Tried that. Actually, in a google search I found that the shortcut is not even behaving as it should within OSX. This combination should open/close all folder within the selected folder in list view. It's not even doing that.

In the keyboard pref pane you can create a new shortcut, clicking on the "+" sign on the bottom center, selecting all applications or the application you want to use it in. Have you tried?

The only thing apart from that I'm thinking of is restoring default values.

Tried restore defaults, no luck. Also tried making a shortcut in keyboard pref pane but that didn't work either. Really strange, just started happening one day on my iMac but both of my laptops work fine.

Are your MacBooks and MacPros the same system and version?
Have you tried deleting the preferences for that app?
/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/name of the app.plist
You could even consider replacing the plist with a copy of one from any Mac that's functioning correctly on that command.

Deleted preferences for the app. Uninstalled/reinstalled, updated version, no change.

I tried creating a new account and the shortcuts work properly when I'm logged into that one. Does anyone have any idea what preference or account setting would create this behaviour?
