Keyboard Data (Chinese/Japanese) Keyboard

I had identity theft recently, and this keyboard (Chinese/Japanese) is on my iPhone. I see adds on Facebook & Instagram, emails, etc that I’ve never had an interest in. I saw the keyboard data and I don’t know why this would be listed. Is this keyboard standard for English speakers? Im concerned about anything different or I’ve never seen on my phone.

I doubt it has anything to do with identity theft. The app hasn't sent any data either. A keyboard can't install itself.

Try checking if you have selected a Chinese keyboard in your settings. Chinese is a comprehensive language, and I know when such a keyboard is selected, some data is downloaded. This may be what you can see in the overview of your apps' data usage.

Try going to:

Settings > General > Keyboards > Keyboards.

Do you have a Chinese keyboard on the list - if so, tap edit in the top right corner and delete the keyboard.

Then go back to Settings > Mobile Data > scroll to the bottom and select Reset Statistics. Now the data usage list will be reset, and you can keep an eye on whether the Chinese keyboard will still try to use Mobile Data.
