IOS 26 Update: Not receiving 2FA pins/codes

Hi,


I have an iPhone 15 here & recently updated my phone to IOS 26. Since upgrading I've noticed that my 2fa codes are being delivered to me...in a timely manner. They'll come through hours later in bulk. It's not a connectivity issue because my phone & all other apps & features are working properly with wifi & carrier data. It is frustrating because these code requests had time out timers & I have to request a new one.


I've tried turning off & turning on iMessage & the issue remains. I have tried turning the phone off completely & turning it back on.


Are there any other solutions to this other than having to figure out a way to downgrade back to IOS 18?

Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to downgrade from iOS 26 to iOS 18, as iOS 18 is no longer signed for iPhone 15.


The push messages come directly from Apple, so if your iPhone is connected to the network and everything else works, there is not much you can do. The fact that you receive several of your 2FA messages after an hour indicates that there is something inside Apple that periodically does not work quite correctly.


Until then, try one of the other options. For example, receiving the code with a call.

Banks, Carrier, website logins, etc. I do not use a VPN & no antivirus software.


I kinda figured that it's not an iMessage issue because my known contacts can send me messages just fine (family, friends, co-workers). It is exclusively just those short pin messages.


I am not the most technologically savvy person so any advice on this would help.
