Double charged for AirTags purchase via Apple Pay

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased 2 AirTags from the Apple Store. My recent purchases history correctly shows a single order for 2 AirTags. However, when I checked my bank account, I noticed two separate charges — one matching the price for 2 AirTags (298,00 zł) and another that seems to match the cost of 1 AirTag (149,00 zł).

Both charges were made via Apple Pay.

Has anyone experienced something similar? What should I do next to get the extra charge refunded?

You have 2 options. You can contact the merchant, explain the error and request a refund for their billing error. The second option is to contact the bank that issued the debit card and dispute the overcharge.

Do not do both as that would constitute fraud.

Apple Pay is not a payment method. You used a credit card or debit card to make the purchase. Look at the bank statement for whatever card you used.

I used Apple Pay for the purchase.

My bank statement shows two separate charges: one for the full price of 2 AirTags (which matches the order shown in my Apple purchase history), and another smaller charge that looks like the cost of 1 AirTag.

What Payment Method did you use for the purchase of the two AirTags? Does the does the Payment Method’s bank statement reflect two charges or one charge or both?

It's a debit card. My bank statement shows two separate charges.
