Does my phone have to be clean (no dirt) for trade in?

My phone doesn’t have any cracks or dents, but it’s just dirty. There’s a lot of dirt around the edges of the screen and at the bottom bc I've never really cleaned it. It's kinda stuck there and hard to remove. Do I need to clean it, or can I send it as-is and still get full credit as long as the device itself is fine?

It was still under the screen. So I cleaned with with a microfibre cloth. Still there, then I damped the cloth with some distilled water and it was still there. Concern About Screen Separation on iPhone 13 Hi, I’ve noticed a small but consistent gap between the screen and frame of my iPhone 13. Out of concern, I performed a quick check and found that I can insert a piece of paper into the gap—it slides in until it stops just before the charging port. The screen feels solid and the phone works fine otherwise, but I’m worried this could be a seal issue, which might affect water resistance or long-term durability. Cleanliness won't affect the trade-in value. But I'm sure whoever evaluates the trade-in would still appreciate it being clean!
