Contact number identification missing in iOS 26

In the new iOS 26, if someone contacts me via text or via phone call, it doesn't tell me which of their numbers contacted me, how can I know? When I click on info only their contact comes up with no check marks or "recent" or anything like it used to before iOS 26.

Yes, that seems to have been removed. However, if you look under the name of the caller in the Recents list, you will see the label listed that you have assigned to that number. That should help, so long as you do not have too many numbers assigned to a contact that may have a duplicate label.

That "Recent" tag seems to have been removed in ios26.
