Does IOS 26.1 finally fix the touchscreen issue and promotion lag issues on iPhone 17?

No. Not only does it not fix it… but 26.2 also doesn’t fix it… and now they turned on automatic updates in everyone’s settings. I had the issue right after the ios 26.1 update from ios 18. On ipad pro 11” m2 chip model running 2tb storage and esim compatibility. Thankfully forcing a reset saved it(quickly press the volume button closest to the power button, then quickly press the volume button furthest from the power button, then hold the power button until you see the apple logo appear on the screen), but i am worried. A lot of other people say it comes back and other people couldn’t even fix it.. they were told to buy new devices by apple and phone repair companies.
I am not aware of any touch screen issues or lag. If your iPhone has touch screen issues that does not mean that hundreds of millions of other iPhones a similar issue, so you should try troubleshooting the issue with your phone, or contact Apple support for guidance.

We own iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max and I know many other people with various iPhone 17 models and none, including myself are having any touch issues or promotion lag on our phones. Nor have we had any issues since getting the phones.
By asking if the newest update fixes an issue you're having, which most others aren't implies you think everyone must be having an issue because you are having an issue. If they were, this forum would be flooded with people complaining, but it's not.
Please do as Lawrence Finch recommended to determine why YOU are having an issue.
