shortcut automations fail in ios 26

I have 3 different automations related to carplay when I get in the car some use 3rd party apps like IHEART but 2 are just calendar and morning routine automations. They previously worked before ios 26 update. Now none of them work.

Things I have tried:

reboot

deleted and redid automation shortcuts

deleted shortcut app and reinstall app (redo shortcuts again)

check all my settings and permissions related to shortcuts and apps.

Run shortcut in control center issue I’ve been experiencing an issue with my control center where the run shortcut buttons i’ve added in my control center suddenly defaults to opening the shortcut app instead of running the particular shortcut i’ve setup. It’s been happening since updating to iOS 26 and up to now even if i’ve updated already to iOS 26.0.1. Temporary fix i do for now is to restart my phone. Hopes this gets permanently fixed. iOS 26.0.1, iPhone 12 Pro.

Carplay icons on sidebar not working on VW Tiguan 2016 since iOS26 Since the iOS 26 update, on a 2016 VW Tiguan with an iPhone 13 running iOS 26.0.1, the side menu bar no longer works on CarPlay. It is impossible to return to the main menu. The menu icons are no longer clickable. When CarPlay connects, we are stuck on the last application that was used when CarPlay was functional. In the meantime, we have to go into the phone while driving to change applications, which is not very safe. I removed my car from my device and reinstalled it, and nothing worked. :(
