How to sign out of a deleted account

Apple deleted my daughter's Apple ID account upon request, but I couldn't sign out on my iPad because she was too young to sign out. Now, after deleting the account, I can't sign out on my iPad either because the account doesn't exist and the password I enter isn't accepted.

Yes, I did as the article says, I deleted the child's account, and removed Family Sharing, but now I can't log out of the account on the iPad, in fact, now it can only be used for multimedia, without the ability to install new applications.

You didn't sign out of the account on the iPad first. There is no age restriction to be able to sign out of a device.

Unfortunately since you did not do that she cannot sign out. You will either have to get Apple to reinstate the account—if it is not too late—and then sign out properly, or you will have to ask Apple to reset the device. Apple can completely reset a device if a person can provide sufficient evidence of valid ownership. Read the requirements and steps for an Activation Lock support request at: https://al-support.apple.com/#/additional-support Apple says you need to have "proof of purchase documentation” and “proof of ownership documentation”, but does not detail what currently constitutes proof other than it “must include the product serial number, IMEI or MEID.” User reports on this community indicate that typically Apple will ONLY accept an original receipt issued by Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller. Presumably this is the only kind Apple can authenticate against fraud since Apple is not involved in third party sales. Apple recommends that you "Keep your receipt after you buy an Apple device" --> Keep your receipt after you buy an Apple device - Apple Support

Note that the device cannot have Lost Mode set on it. If your device has been taken over by you having entered a scammer’s Account then the scammer may have set that too and the device is lost to you.

If Apple resets the device this will give you access to the device but won't restore access to the account used to lock it. There is nothing that can be done to expedite an Activation Lock request.

You will need to provide proof of ownership, usually done by the original purchase receipt from Apple or Authorized Apple Seller.

Apple says to remove the account from all devices before deleting.

  • Make sure that you sign out of all your devices to avoid issues with apps that use your Apple Account or iCloud. After your account is deleted, you can’t sign out of iCloud or turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock on your devices. If you forget to sign out, you might not be able to use your device when your account is deleted.

For a child under 13, you are still supposed to be able to remove the account from your Family Sharing group after the deletion request has been completed.

Or a parent or guardian can request to delete their Apple Account, let the deletion take effect, then remove the child from the family group.

If that is not working the way it is described in the Support Article, then I would recommend contacting Apple directly here:
