iPhone 17 Pro Max speaker volume fluctuates during songs

I am also having this problem. The songs volume fluctuates drastically on its own when it’s just the instrumental portion of a song. But when the vocals or lyrics begin the volume drastically increases. This needs to be fixed. This is a terrible bug in the phone

Did you think I'd come to a point to look for other people reporting the same issues if I haven't checked all possible iPhone settings already? Volume Limit is default disabled on my phone, Reduce Loud Sounds as well.

It's not even one of the settings on Apple Music (Sound Check), and that doesn't matter since the issue occurs outside Apple Music.

It's funny, people didn't even realize this is an issue before I brought it up to light on a reddit post. It's easy to see this issue if you're comparing it with Androids that does not have this issue at all.

I didn't even notice this issue at first until I played some music on my speakers.

Same issue with my iPhone which by the way I have noticed just the other day. I have also tried to adjust all the setting as adviced, but nothing !

Did anyone brought their phone to the Apple Store and had the issue fixed ?

I’ve already mentioned that I’m a music producer. I’m well aware that music has dynamic range. I’m also pretty easily capable of identifying what’s natural and what sounds lower because of this issue. I’ve also checked it with my own songs.

You can go to your concerts and enjoy your dynamic range.

I’m having this exact issue where I play a song and it dips when there’s no vocals and I tho I had ears problems or something but no is the iPhone so this needs to be fix asap cause we didn’t pay for a 1600 phone to be having this issues apple we want this done by the end of November

same issue with my wife's new iPhone 17 pro . we went to the Apple Store two times and they just reset everything and said it will be fine. its still an issue.

I’m glad I stopped the support before they made me reset my phone.

It’s kinda funny the support team doesn’t know the reason for this issue and lead people to reset their phones with no valid reason.

my iPhone 17 has noticeable volume fluctuations when using the native speaker. Not when using external/Bluetooth speakers. It’s infuriating.

Sorry, I am not a mind reader, so how could I possibly know what troubleshooting you did unless you told us?

You do realize the music is RECORDED with varying volume levels? It is called “dynamic range”. If you go to a live concert it will be both loud, medium and soft, and a quality recording will attempt to match that.

I shut off additional settings in the Hearing Control Center inside of Accessibility and it seems to have fixed it though but I’ve been using it for a little since since doing that.

i was previously getting a back and forth between loud and quiet no matter the audio source, it specifically went louder when dialogue or singing was happening

This needs to be fixed.

Then tell Apple about it. Complaining about it in a user only forum isn't going to get you anywhere.

Is this all tracks from all albums, or just some? And from different or the same publishers?

Music has a wide dynamic range, and some tracks may just be recorded that way.
