I would like to use this keyboard as I like its clicky feeling. While most basic keys match, some, including the all important @ key are misplaced. The keybord recognition software does not recognise it when I tap the key next to shift. Is there any way to map the keys like in the old times?

That sounds like you have the input source British PC active, when instead you need to use the one just called British (or US or ABC). Go to system settings / keyboard / text input / edit / all input sources and use the minus button at the bottom to remove British PC (and the + button to add British if necessary).

Where exactly is the @ key now, and where do you want it to be? Could be really easy to fix via changing things in system settings / keyboard / text input / edit / all input sources

Thanks I found it where you suggested, it’s a British keyboard layout and it seems to match perfectly
