Forgot Apple ID Password and Trusted Number – Need Help Recovering Account.

Hello Apple Support,




My name is Basit, and I am having trouble accessing my Apple ID on my new iPhone 17 Pro Max. I forgot my Apple ID password and no longer have access to my trusted phone number.




I still have access to my iPhone and the passkey/email linked to my Apple ID. I would like your help to recover or remove my Apple account from this device.




Please let me know what steps I should follow or how you can assist me in verifying my identity to regain access to my account.

The Trusted Phone number is not required to gain access to your account using Account Recovery. There is a waiting period along with additional information that you may need to provide.

How to use account recovery when you can’t reset your Apple Account password - Apple Support


If you are still unable to gain access, then the account can be removed from the device by submitting proof of ownership documentation. In most cases this is going to be the original purchase receipt from Apple or Authorized Apple seller. Apple does not get involved in third party sales so a receipt from another source is likely not to be accepted.
