iCloud storage upgrade authentication issue on MacBook Air

I am trying to upgrade my Icloud storage but when I try and do this on my MacBook Air (Monterey 12.7.6) but I just get contacting card issuer for authentication.

I am also getting this message Look for the Settings notification on Daniel’s MacBook Air.

Requires a device running at least iOS 15.2, iPadOS 15.2, or macOS Monterey 12.1.

This is confusing as I have Monterey 21.7.6

The payment card is fine and up to date.
