Option to Hide or Disable “Recently Saved” in Safari Bookmarks (iOS 26.1)

It is not a privacy issue, as you are the only user of your device, so there is no one else to see it.

If you are unhappy tell Apple→Product Feedback - Apple: not the other users in this user-to-user forum, none of whom cares what products you buy.

I completely agree with this post. But, whether or not it’s a privacy issue - which it can if someone so happens to look over and see a “private” image in the thumbail, it’s more of an annoyance. Having additional unwanted clutter and thumbnail images in the way of my initial search gets quite annoying. I don’t need thumbnails to know what my recent saves are. At least have a temporary folder or link for recent saves?

Is it that difficult to give users the option to toggle off this option?

And if there was, will it work? It certainly doesn’t work toggling off “recent search” in the address bar for ios and osx. Go figure, it’s apple.

Don’t get me wrong, I love apple products. But it wouldn’t hurt to spend a little more time on fixing whats been and already broken.

Reports in Lawrence's link https://apple.com/feedback are read and have created at least two major changes to liquid glass.

If you meant Feedback Assistant then anything not related to beta software will almost certainly be ignored.

Bravo, bravo! My sentiments exactly. Hopefully everyone is reporting this via the Support feedback system. I just came from there and found in one of the search results.

I never saw a need for this function and can’t see a need a need for it going forward. I hope they give us a way to turn this annoying, intrusive, and bloated function off.

This is a serious privacy issue all ai can say is they don’t do something about being able to disable this unwanted feature i will be deleting safari or I will have to give up my apple products and find an alternative electronic devices that have not sold out their customers privacy

I agree completely and find it to be an issue also on my iMac.

Thanks for posting this. I agree completely. Hopefully they will take care of this with the next maintenance update.
