How to enable full-screen mode for Apple TV on an Android device?

Hi! (I do not have apple tv device, I watch on an android, had to choose an apple device to post the question 🙄)

When I start a show on apple tv (on my samsung phone) I cannot get it in full screen mode. It should be enough to turn the phone but nothing happens, and I cannot find any buttons or settings to help. Full screen is enabled by all apps acc to settings, I do not have any orientation lock, all other apps turn automatically as I turn the phone. Cannot watch like this, with a tiny screen. Please help?

The user guide doesn’t address this specifically, like it assumes everyone knows that turning your device 90° should be enough (just like on iPhone).

Unless someone else chimes in with a different/new idea, I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/email/callback).
