WhatsApp video call issue on iPhone Air

I'm having trouble making video calls with my Apple Air. I reported the issue to WhatsApp but didn't get any response. The suggested fix was to go into settings and toggle my camera on and off, which only worked temporarily. Now, I have to turn my phone's camera on and off twice a week, which is getting pretty frustrating. Can anyone help me resolve this issue?
