Can I trade in my iPhone in Australia?

Hello,

I saw on Apple’s website that there is a trade‑in option when purchasing a new iPhone. I have a question: can I trade in my old iPhone toward a new purchase at an official Apple Store in Australia if I am a Russian citizen and will have the device with me?

If this is possible, could you please outline the trade‑in procedure and how my device will be evaluated to determine its value? I will be in Australia for only about two weeks, so I’d like to understand the steps, required documents, timing, and whether the assessment and credit can be completed in‑store during a single visit.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards, Danila Kamaev

This is a user to user only forum, not Apple Support. But generally speaking, yes, you can trade an iPhone in to Apple, even it was purchased in another country as long as the phone is in working condition and is free of damage (such as a broken front screen or back screen). To see the maximum trade value, you can look here --> Apple (Australia)

Apple will test your phone at the time of purchase and trade and assuming it has a value, it will be applied to the purchase of a new iPhone. Since there are no Apple Support options in Russia, an iPhone you purchase in Australia, will have no warranty in Russia. So you should consider that before you buy a phone in Australia.
