AirPods Pro 2 range issue with iPhone 17 Pro Max

I just upgraded to an iPhone 17 Pro Max. My AirPods Pro 2 now have a range of about 5-8 feet before the caller can no longer hear me speak. Is there a fix to get the range back? I have the same issue with my older Air Pods Pro as well.
