Reset an iPad but keep AppleCare

Transferring my iPad to my daughter, want to reset it, but when I start that process it says removing AppleCare. I want to keep (and pay for) the AppleCare plan. She’s in graduate school and so trying to help out. I have my new iPad functional and just want to get the slightly order iPad ready to ship to her.

Is there a way to reset without losing the AppleCare?

Your existing AppleCare+ plan is associated with the device - and can be transferred to a new user:
