Activating second-hand iPhone X with unknown Apple ID password

Return the phone for a refund. You will never be able to use this phone unless you know the Apple ID and Password of the person who set up the phone originally.

The only way to use the phone is to have the previous owner remove the activation lock:

Turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock

If you can't locate the previous owner, return it and get your money back.

There is nothing that you can do. If you could contact the owner to whom it is locked, and get their assistance in removing the Activation Lock and preparing the phone properly for transfer to a new owner, then, and only then, would you be able to use the phone.

But you "don't know the initial owner", and since the phone has "sold to 3 people as a second hand", I bet that you don't have the invoice for the original sale, either. If the person who sold it to you was themselves someone OTHER than the person to whom the phone is locked, don't be too surprised if they refuse to refund your money, conveniently "disappear", or stop responding to all communications.

You bought a paper-weight. It's useless. there is no way for you to bypass the activation lock.

Apple can't help you.
