Apple headphone volume auto-reduces on motorcycle

Dear members,

My name is B v Herwaarde, a 65-year-old computer illiterate who rides motorcycles professionally and privately.

I have a problem with Apple's headphone safety and volume.

I use Waze for my navigation.

A Bluetooth helmet communication system.

I wear hearing protection while riding,

so the volume MUST be HIGH, considering the wind noise from motorcycles.

I NEED my navigation.

Because as a traffic controller, I'm being sent to locations I've never heard of.

Unfortunately, Apple apparently finds it necessary NOT to respond. In the past two years, I've had two responses: go to the Apple Store.

Is there ANYONE in this group who CAN and WILL help me?

That the volume is set high once and stays high? Because after two lines of navigation instructions at high volume, the volume automatically turns down for hearing protection.

This has been an ongoing problem for motorcyclists.

First you need to select something other than Headphones in the bluetooth setting, such as Speaker.

Then in Accessibility settings, Audio & visual, turn off headphone notifications, and in Settings, sound & haptics, wind up the decibel limit.

You will of course be in danger of harming your hearing.
