Only for me the function for double-sided printing disappeared after updating to iOS26? (HP printer)

I had the same problem. My iPhone 16 Pro printed duplex perfectly on my HP until I upgraded to iOS26. Based on the advice/hint from alepet.it, I accessed my printer’s web page from Chrome (after selecting Print, but before sending to printer) and I reset its default to duplex. I only had to do this step once and now all my prints are duplex (could reverse this step if I ever wanted to print single sided again).

Click “Show Printer Web Page”
Change Duplex setting to “Enable”.
Voila! Hope this helps someone else.
I have exactly the same issue. Very, very irritating. Printer software is definitely up-to-date. Finding other minor glitches with iOS 26 that are unrelated to this.
It doesn't work using the HP app or using the print directly from iOS26.
All software and firmware are updated.
To further simplify the procedure (I hope momentary pending resolution) I also recommend that you fix the panel in the browser so that it is always open.
